Training PDF Print E-mail

The Centre has produced national school governor training and clerk training programmes for the Welsh Assembly Government. The former focuses on the key governing body roles of strategic planning, target setting and monitoring and evaluation. The latter, while looking at the statutory duties of the governing body clerk also considers the variety of roles carried out by the position holder.

The Centre has organised a number of successful national conferences for governors in Wales and also the first national conference for Welsh Parent Governor Representatives who serve on local authority scrutiny committees.

Finally, the Centre offers a consultancy and training service which is used regularly by local authorities, individual governing bodies and groups of governing bodies.

For further information on our consultancy and training service please contact the Centre Manager
