The All Wales Centre for Governor Training and Research was established in March 2000 and is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government. Its aims are two-fold, namely to act as a centre for research into school governance with particular reference to governor training, and to provide high quality, practical education and training for school governors. The Centre’s whole-country remit is unique in the United Kingdom.
