Ann is a practising, Chartered Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. She has been researching into psychological stress for almost twenty five years and has published in that field. Between 2003 and 2005 she undertook a major research project, throughout the UK, into stress in parents with brain-injured children, sponsored by Cerebra. Together with a team of Research Assistants and Research Students Ann is currently looking into a wide range of issues in this field and is also examining international comparators. In addition, Ann maintains a 24 hour stress counselling telephone line for parents. Her work also covers occupational stress in professional groups where she has counselled professional with high stress levels and delivered Stress management training programmes to a number of organisations. Ann has supervised a number of successful research students at both MPhil and PhD level.
