PETER FINNEMORE Lecturer

Peter Finnemore has been a practising artist since 1985. He studied for a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Photography at Glasgow School of Art and an MFA in Photography at the University of Michigan. He has exhibited widely in Wales, the UK and internationally, representing Wales at the Venice Biennale in 2005. He has won a number of prizes including the Gold Medal for Visual Arts at the National Eisteddfod in 2005, joint winner of the Eighth Oriel Mostyn Open Exhibition in 1996 and 1st and 2nd Prize for colour photography at the National Eisteddfod in 1990. He has work in a number of public collections in the UK and the USA including the Contemporary Art Society of Wales, Cardiff, Scottish Arts Council, Edinburgh, The Arts Council Collection, Hayward Gallery, London, Oriel Mostyn Collection, Llandudno, and Orchard Education Centre, Hamilton, Scotland. He has also featured on numerous T.V. Programmes including `Y Sioe Gelf` and `BBC Wales Today`. He has been at Swansea Metropolitan University since September 2005.
