The Faculty of Humanities has a broad range and depth of expertise in many areas of research, reflective of the academic subjects that it encompasses. Many research areas are closely linked to industry whilst others consist mainly of pure academic study. The different research strengths can be witnessed within the schools of Business, Tourism/Leisure and Sport, Humanities and Psychology. Research Strategy:The Faculty's research strategy is centred upon encouraging and expanding research in all of the recognised Faculty Centres with particular emphasis being focused upon research areas already recognised, including: human resource management, cultural and festival tourism, the effects of climate change on tourism, sport and exercise, safety and risk management, counselling and psychology, together with drama and literature (including film).
