I am a senior lecturer in Education I am Director of the Secondary PGCE course and teach on the Geography PGCE.

Research Interests:

  • Earth Science education: pedagogical strategies to develop conceptual understanding;

    Fieldwork and its impact on learning;

  • The role of ICT in enhancing learning in geography;

  • Pupils` perceptions and understanding of the nature of geography and geographical thinking and understanding;

  • Teacher perception and recognition of geographical aptitude in pupils and how it is developed;
