Dr Stephen Hole obtained a M.Sc. Computing after a period of successful study at Cardiff University in 1990. He holds a PhD for his research work that incorporated the separate research areas of End-User Computing, Software Agents, Spreadsheet Development, Data Mining and Classification Schemes. He has held a PGCE from the University of Wales since 1992.

He is currently the Course Director of the B.Sc. Computing Portfolio at the School of Applied Computing, Swansea Metropolitan University. Dr Hole has worked at the University since 1990 and is the module leader for the B.Sc. Computing Project and Dissertation.

Dr Stephen Hole is a long standing member of the British Computer Society (MBCS) and belongs to the e-Learning, Business Information Systems, Information Retrieval and Learning and Development special interest groups. He is also a Chartered IT Professional.
