Born and educated in South Wales, Roderick obtained an MPhil in optoelectronic engineering, an MEd in Educational Management & Research and a PhD in Condition Monitoring. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology and is currently Chair of the South West Wales Branch of the IET. He is organiser and chief editor of the International Conference in Quality, Reliability & Maintenance, which will hold its seventh event at St Edmunds Hall, Oxford in 2009. Until recently, he was Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Applied Design & Engineering. Currently, he is a Research Fellow within the School of Logistics and Manufacturing Engineering and is also International Consultant to Snell Infrared International, USA.

Current Research Interests: Thermographic Analysis during Laser Application of Skin
Laser-tissue interaction, Infrared Imaging, NDT and Infrared Condition Monitoring
