Dr Maggie Inman, BA (Hons), PGCE, MSc (Distinction), EdD, Chartered Fellow CIPD Dr Maggie Inman is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management at Swansea Business School. She started her career in HRM in industry, working for a variety of public and private organisations. Currently, she is the Course Director of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development programmes as well as senior lecturer on the MBA (Finland and UK), BA Business degree and HNC/D business. She also lectures on a number of degrees (MSc and BSc) with the MOD and was a visiting lecturer at Swansea University. Maggie is an external examiner for the University of Hertfordshire and is the web editor for the South West Wales branch of the CIPD. She is a member of the staff development committee at SMU. She has recently completed her Doctorate in Education researching leadership at middle-academic level within Higher Education. Her research interests lie in leadership, particularly within higher education. She is particularly interested in how and why academics become leaders and the implications this has for training and development. She has presented a number of papers in relation to this at Birmingham University. She has also carried out research on Assessment Centres and has worked as a consultant to a number of private organisations on assessment and management development centre design and evaluation.
