Course Director and Head of Voice for BA (Hons) Performing Arts and Theatre Studies. A Voice Practitioner specialising in both voice and singing, Ms. Meunier has 10 years teaching experience, and over 20 years experience as a classical musician and performer. In 2005 she undertook research into singing students' awareness of their spoken voice and the role it plays in the training of their sung voice. This is leading to further research into the link between the spoken and sung voices and how the development of each can affect the other. Additional interest lies in the development and application of creative vocal sound in theatre, voice through the Alexander Technique, and the impact of speech studies on a student's learning and writing skill level. In addition, Ms Meunier offers Vocal Management and Presentation Skills workshops to both teachers and lecturers, and continues to perform. Ms. Meunier is a member of The British Voice Association, The International Centre for Voice, the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the Voice and Speech Trainers Association, and sits on the Board of Directors for Volcano Theatre Company.
