The CIC was established in 2005 as a partnership between Swansea Metropolitan University and Cerebra, which is a UK -wide major charity supporting brain injured children and adults. The CIC aims to:

  • Produce innovative and bespoke design solutions for the target client.

  • Produce original and patentable intellectual property that facilitates a sustainable operation.

The staff within the CIC consists of two engineers and a product designer, managed by Dr Ross Head, who is responsible for embedding the work of the CIC within the School of Industrial Design, including the award of scholarships each summer.
