Product DesignThe form, style and functionality of a new product can be vital in activating and attracting financial and commercial interest, to allow a product to proceed to market. Product Design concentrates on the more creative end of product development, utilising the latest workstations and PC based software, driven by our established team of multi- skilled designers and enginneers. ServicesFocusing on the design aspect of product development, the services provided are: * Concept Design 2D The team of design engineers will intially generate several concept designs based on the customer's consultation, to establish a design platform for further development. The selected design will then be transferred onto CAD (SDRC I- DEAS) where computer generated images can be produced to provide an enhanced image realization of the customer's original concept in the most cost effective manner. The CAD information can be used to create " Rapid Prototypes" via stereolithography to verify parts for form, fit and function prior to committing to the capital investment required for full scale production. The Rapid Prototyping Centre has been established in order to support industries through: * Technology Transfer Rapid Prototyping is increasingly important in improving efficiency of the product development cycle and will have a major impact on the Facilities include * 3D Feature Based Solid Modeling The Rapid Prototyping process allows a design to be tested effectively and evaluated, ensuring visual and functional accuracy.
