Love is in the air at Swansea Metropolitan University as the Swansea School of Glass prepares for Saint Valentine's Day with an exhibition called Love Swansea Glass. Love Swansea Glass is located within the city's National Waterfront Museum and is open until Sunday 4th March.
Exhibition organiser and University Programme Director, Lisa Burkl said: "The response has been quite unexpected, with panels coming from around the country. The exhibition demonstrates how artists and the community interact with the School and offers an insight into the tightly bonded family of Swansea Glass." Published: Tuesday 31st January 2012 |

Despite Swansea's global reputation for glass art, the School has always remained community-based and this new exhibition highlights its relationship with the local community. Love Swansea Glass calls upon the local and national glass community to share their thoughts and memories of Swansea, especially at this romantic time of year. A call was sent out inviting glass artists to design and fabricate a glass panel on the theme of 'A Valentine for Swansea'.
