The Centre is a national centre for Leisure, Tourism, and Sport.

Placement opportunities exist throughout the world, including: Walt Disney World (USA), CN Tower (Canada), Eurosites (France) and many other leading leisure and travel companies.

The Centre has won a number of industrial awards in recognition of its contribution to the development of education, training and research in the fields of leisure, tourism, and activity safety.

The Centre has a strong European outlook with an Intercultural Awareness module and Language modules available in French, Spanish and Welsh.

Study facilities include a variety of computer-based systems, supported by an active Research, Consultancy and Training Centre, with clients such as the Wales Tourist Board, the Countryside Council for Wales and the Sports Council.

Academic staff have been recruited both from within academia and from the leisure and tourism industries.
