Programme Design

The course is designed to cover the major technical aspects of the music industry. Modules cover software and hardware techniques, acoustics and sound engineering for both recording and live performance, and supporting studies covering an appreciation of theoretical and performance aspects of music, business studies and the role of music in modern culture.

Employment Opportunities 

The programme is designed to prepare students for work in a variety of different positions in industry, e.g. sound engineering and production, recording engineering, equipment design and maintenance. The music industry is rapidly growing and becoming increasingly technologically complex.

Minimum two A levels, or equivalent qualifications, together with five GCSE passes (including Maths) at grade C or above.
