Skillset Screen Academy Wales
Swansea Metropolitan University is an associate partner of the Skillset Screen Academy Wales (SSAW) and has been approved by the UK film industry as a centre of excellence for film education and training. Skillset, the Sector Skills Council for the audiovisual industries, has awarded Screen Academy status to only six HE/FE consortia across the UK. This provides funding for masterclasses, mentors, bursaries, industry placements, production costs, and advanced equipment. The SSAW receives strong support and guidance from the Welsh film and TV industries through its Industry Panel.
