Programme Design

These courses are designed to meet the educational requirements of students from a variety of backgrounds who are seeking the opportunity of embarking on a higher education programme within construction, conservation and maintenance or quantity surveying.
An important feature of these programmes is that they are structured to meet the needs of students wishing to pursue possible careers in Architecture, Building Management, Building Surveying, Facilities Management, Conservation Agencies, Public Sector, Conservation Consultancies and Quantity Surveying, as well as preparing students for further study at the later stages of a degree course

Entry Requirements

Applicants will normally be expected to have at least one 6 unit GCE A level pass or equivalent Advanced Subsidiary pass, plus three appropriate passes at GCSE grade C or above, or
BTEC National Diploma in Construction, or
BTEC National Certificate in Building Studies or Civil Engineering Studies, or
Vocational A level (6 units), or
NVQ Level 3, or
Another qualification recognised as an equivalent qualification.
