Programme Design

Civil Engineering is the practice of improving and maintaining the built and natural environment to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations. Practitioners within the profession are expected to make the best use of scarce resources whilst caring for the environment by removing pollution and advancing society through constructing and managing infrastructure.

In addition to providing knowledge of the scientific principles on which the construction and environmental disciplines are based, the programme is designed to provide the construction management and computer-aided design experience required of a constructor.

Employment Opportunities

The employment market is buoyant with an increasing need for graduates who recognise the need to protect the environment by using resources in a sustainable manner.
