UCAS Course Code: 016H Duration: 2 Years Admissions Tutor: Dr Glenn Jenkins Programme DesignThis course is relevant to those wishing to pursue a career in the Information Technology field specialising in Network Development or Administration. It will provide you with a sound knowledge of computer technology and concepts required to develop and maintain networking solutions for business. Students who achieve at least two Merits in Year two will be eligible to proceed onto Year two of the Schoolís Computer Networks honours degree programme. Programme StructureThe course is delivered over two years, through taught units with a high level of practical work. Summer placement opportunities may arise for interested students. Employment OpportunitiesSuccessful students from the course will hold a nationally recognised qualification appropriate for jobs within the identified skills shortage areas of Information Technology. Students will be equipped to take up a range of positions in the areas of Analysis, Network Development, Network Management and Database Development.
