UCAS Course Code: G510 Duration: 3 Years Admissions Tutor: Dr Glenn Jenkins Programme DesignThis course aims to produce graduates who will have a sound knowledge of business and computer concepts to allow them to develop IT strategies for an organisation. IT continues to play a major role in exploiting commercial potential and our graduates will be able to analyse and develop the strategic use of information systems within an organisation in order to support its underlying business goals. Graduates from this course have gained employment in a wide range of IT disciplines, including: business systems analysis, IT support, IT sales, ICT teaching and IT management for a SME. Others have progressed onto postgraduate study. In the first year, you will study a broad range of subjects common to all courses within the Computing Portfolio. These provide the underpinning required for later years and allow flexibility to transfer across pathways in your first year of study. During your second year, you will study modules that provide a greater depth for your chosen programme. In the final year, you will undertake a major project which provides a focus for your studies.
