If you are a Visa National and wish to come to the UK to study for less than 6 months you will need to apply for a Student Visitor Visa. Non Visa Nationals wishing to come to the UK to study for less than 6 months will not normally need a visa to come to the UK as a student visitor - but you may want to consider applying for entry clearance if you have previously been refused entry to the UK. To be eligible for a Student Visitor Visa you must be 18 or over and have been accepted on a course of study by an education provider that holds a sponsor licence under Tier 4 of the points-based system.
