Instructions for applying for Graduation
Please complete the on-line registration process even if you do not intend attending the Ceremony as this process ensures your details are correct for the Awards Congregation Book and your certificate. To complete the on-line registration process for Graduation, please go to: http://graduation.smu.ac.uk. You will need your student ID number, which will be sent to you in your Graduation Information Pack. Personal Details
You will be presented with your name, student ID, address and the title of your course. Please check this information carefully and make any amendments as this information will be used for the Awards Congregation Booklet. If there is an error with your name or the title of your course please email

Ceremony Attendance
If you satisfy all of the conditions governing admission to your degree, including settlement of any outstanding debt to the University, you may choose:
to attend the Awards Congregation not to attend the Awards Congregation but to be recorded in the Awards Congregation Booklet as being admitted in absentia
Please indicate your decision in the appropriate place on the on-line registration screen. If you state your intention to attend the Awards Congregation, but decide later not to attend, you will be admitted in absentia at the Awards Congregation.
Access Requirements
Please let us know if you or any of your guests are wheelchair users or have any other access requirements. There are limited seats available for wheelchair users so they must be booked in advance. If your guest requires a specific seat for any other purpose and you do not let us know, you should bear in mind that they will be allocated a seat number that cannot be changed. |
