Admissions Tutor: Rhian Pole Programme DesignThe business and finance programme has been designed for those students who have an interest in the financial aspects of business and who would like the flexibility of a programme that allows you to select a number of elective modules in their second and final years. You benefit from a broader range of modules and options than the BA Accounting programme whilst completing a degree that also gives you a solid basis for a career in business finance. Students who are not able to, or do not wish to commit to a full degree programme are able to obtain an HND in Business and Finance by successfully completing 240 credits (levels 4 & 5) of the programme. Programme StructureYou study a broad range of modules covering the core business functions in your first year and then in your second and final years there is a greater focus on financial topics whilst still allowing you the flexibility to select modules in areas of interest to you.
All modules carry 20 credits, apart from the dissertation which is worth 40 credits. Employment OpportunitiesGraduates of the Business and Finance programme are ideally placed for careers in financial or general management, banking, or may wish to become entrepreneurs.
