THE NEW SURVEYORS

Questioning the notion of the constructed and synthetic landscape, and with a particular interest in the notion of ‘place’, this range of photographic and time-based work investigates the fixed scopic regime of the surveyor in landscape photography. New practice and theoretical frameworks provide a transitional response of photographic positions and sites that are both mutable and internal. Outputs include Dr. Andrea Liggin’s ‘ Conversations with the Landscape’ , Venice Wales Biennale artist Peter Finnemore’s ‘Zen Gardener’ , Georgina White’s ‘On The Verge of Landscape’ , and the CLASI/Ffotogallery collaboration ‘Haha:Margam Re-visited’.
